Area 15
Area 15 is actually a mock flat on the top floor of the Telewest offices in Woking, Surrey. It features a lounge, kitchen and bedroom. Area 15 is a flexible environment which showcases Telewest Broadband's products and untaps the potential of our broadband infrastructure to deliver IP enabled services.
We were required to create an interactive Flash movie which could be used by visitors to 'Area 15' to familiarise themselves with all its features during their visit.
We recreated the lounge in 3ds Max and this graphic would contain rollovers of the various features of the development.
The lounge is set up to demonstrate how the internet is moving away from the PC into more everyday household products. For example, web content is displayed on the TV and music, delivered via the set top box, is delivered direct to your stereo. A single web pad controls all of this - even the lighting and heating - to show how the internet can make life easier at home.
