Inbuilt procedural textures were used to re-produce cell states wherever possible. This allowed smooth animation of changing cell surfaces and negated the requirement for extensive UVW mapping.
Schering Healthcare: 'Living with Multiple Sclerosis'
Schering Healthcare required a series of animations for a DVD describing their Betaferon treatment for MS sufferers: 'Living with Multiple Sclerosis'.
Geek Creative provided a range of instructional animations for the production company involved, Corporate Multimedia Solutions, describing how to use the product and the effects of their treatment at the microscopic level.
The microscopic look and feel was highly stylised using 3DS Max's inbuilt procedural textures. We used high contrast for clarity when describing processes that occured at the microscopic level within the oligodendrocytes.
Medical hardware such as the hypodermic needle below was accurately modelled.
We also drafted a short 'sting' for the introduction. Lens flares were animated following the path of the Schering 'web' logo.
