Animated Instruction Video for HS Haag Streit UK
The Pharmacutical Company required an animated instructional video for their glaucoma testing hardware.
The company's hardware components were accurately modelled using 3DS Max. Particular attention was paid to reproducing realistic plastic textures for these items, wherever possible we made use of the in built maps and procedural textures available within 3DS Max.
The container for their hygienic test swabs was constructed from a flat plane object to which a displacement map was applied. Whilst 3DS Max provides ready made raytraced materials for clear plastic, we used the 'thin wall refraction' material for the plastic container itself. This produced a satisfactory look and drastically reduced rendering times.
The standard 3DS Max raytraced glass material used for the eye dropper component gave excellent results.
A bend modifier and gravity dynamics were applied to the paper lid to simulate the tear away.

The hardware used for testing was accurately modelled using 3ds Max.
